Ignorance is Strength
January 14, 2021 12:11 am Leave your thoughtsFIRST THEY CAME
By Martin Niemöller
First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me.
Let’s get something straight, social media platforms are NOT just private companies that can do what they want, so STFU with your strawman rhetoric. They’ve positioned themselves to monopolise the social stratosphere and today’s variation of the public square. They positioned themselves to be something we rely on while government tries to pass legislation to monitor your DMs in real-time and use these things to harvest information on you. How did it happen overnight? It didn’t, many people were warning about these things for a long time but were laughed at or told not to care about it. We’ve voluntarily traded our private information so they could cater advertisements, use our psychology to manipulate and also to sell on to government agencies/other. We’ve built dossiers on ourselves. Have you ever read the T&Cs? The language in these legal waivers suggests they can do what they want with your data when you use their apps and message services.
These places are publishers and biased. Tech giants are in agreement, and it only takes one platform to start the snowball rolling before they all unperson you. When you speak out (or pose a question) – they panic and ban/suspend/strike you. Apparently amusing when your favourite-to- hate “conspiracy theorists” are banned but when they come for you, it won’t be so funny. They deliberately dominated our world and now dictate how you can think. It’s interesting how many people don’t see the hypocrisy when a tech giant refuses to suspend or ban accounts belonging to groups peddling the child pr0ns, terrorism or animal cruelty but will strike an individual for asking questions or calling out politicians/medical bodies/celebrities that push establishment narrative without mentioning the fine print. It’s impressive how fast and thorough these platforms can be!! But not for the aforementioned issues…Interesting.
Words are beginning to mean the opposite of what they did too. Hypocrisy and redefining of explanations is happening everywhere. The Orwellian perversion of language is being used to the advantage of agendas and to change the way people interpret and think. WAR IS PEACE. FREEDOM IS SLAVERY. IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH. – 1984, George Orwell.

Go woke, get broke
People who don’t know history (or don’t care) are supported and backed by the mainstream that likes people with goldfish memories and attention spans. If you have the balls to produce a logical thought and put it into a sentence or a question, watch out, because you get shouted down, bullied and people turn against you without knowing the facts. At the time of writing this, it’s a very sad day for freedom. Not just regarding speech, but seeing a pathetic (yeah I said it,) hysterical Australian person telling a friend on social media that they need to put a “trigger warning” (?!) on a status about the outcome of the election in the USA…
Wut.
I don’t believe in policing speech or posts -even if they’re stupid or someone finds them offensive. The establishment also seems to be trying to redefine “violence” (the last few years) to include words on a screen or when things are yelled across a street. That is not the same as punching someone in the face. When the lines become blurred there leaves room for someone to call you a dickhead and you to throw hands and cause actual bodily damage because they hurt your feelings. Is that what these people want?
When I disagree with something I read online, guess what I do to fix my feelings? Something else. Talk to someone else, scroll past and do something else. You can’t police the sounds that come out of someone’s face, or the words they choose to write just to fit with your personal opinions you have based on countless experiences accumulated throughout your life. And, guess what? If the ideas really are bad or disruptive, then the population and the market will speak. They will vote with their wallet or presence…hence the mass exodus to GAB. Hence the billions wiped from stock markets today. (Go woke, get broke.)
You cannot control what comes out of someone’s mouth to suit your comfort level. So fuck off.

Late 2020, Facebook (for eg,) gave pages a pop up message saying they would remove posts they interpreted as making their platform not look as good. That included sharing articles from mainstream sources as well as pages making commentary on world events and even jokes. This week’s multi-pronged attack on Parler is very telling. If you didn’t like the new terms and conditions, you found another place. You went quietly because you couldn’t win and there was no point trying against a giant who was bent on nuking your page/channel. The fact Amazon, Apple and others chased those people and removed access to the alternative platforms is making a lot of people ask how a couple of tech giants can tank an up-and-coming social media site because their schtick is promoting free speech and discussing ideas.
Side note*Anyone can add to Wiki pages. When you see the negative labels applied to a company who created an alternative to the giants, relax and look into it for yourself.
I didn’t/don’t have a Parler account, but I knew people who moved from Facebook/Twitter prior to the latest drama, because they wanted a platform that didn’t advertise on their newsfeed or sell user data. They weren’t politically active or even cared about that subject. So, when I read that Parler is for “extreme political people” etc. I find it inaccurate. Labelling and causing division just distracts us and people who have realised that are seemingly being called names and shoved into corners. Yes, there are problematic idiots in all areas of life, I don’t doubt some have accounts on these alternative platforms, but it’s not as many as you are being led to believe. The oligarchs are running scared.

Go woke, get broke
It’s not about supporting a politician who was removed and unpersoned from social media. It’s not about a radio host “conspiracy theorist” who brought attention to real things like the health ramifications of BPA. It’s about who is next, and the flimsy or unverified reasons people are being silenced and banned from this century’s version of the public square. The goalposts move every time the agenda needs to advance, and if you aren’t paying attention, you’re caught in the dragnet regardless of which “side” you are on, politically or other.
Some people find themselves pushing the narrative for the establishment too. Sometimes it’s easier, you have bills to pay, your own life, things in your immediate world that need your focus…but if you’ve nothing relevant to add, stay out of it. Don’t fight for the state/the tech company/the authority, they have enough power over everyone as it is. Oh! and newsflash to the kids walking around protesting “capitalism” while wearing Nike sneakers and updating their status on Iphones: You’re not part of a “revolution” if you’re backed by establishment billionaires. LOL. #sad
The world has billions of people. We all have different experiences and opinions. If there’s an idea someone presents and you disagree with it, then debate it, civilly. Challenge it with other information, give both sides of the argument. If you have an issue, the best way is to discuss it and come to a conclusion or compromise which benefits people and moves forward. People only silence others when they’re worried about what they’ll reveal or what will happen to their agenda when people are presented with alternative ways to approach it. If we don’t stand up against tyranny aimed at the free exchange of information across the internet, then we will be setting up for more infringements on the way we live in the future.
***UPDATE *** THIS POST WAS GAGGED ON FACEBOOK. THEY ALLOWED IT TO BE PROMOTED TO MY FOLLOWERS FOR A DAY. NOW IT IS UNABLE TO BE ADVERTISED AGAIN.
TLDR:
*They coming for our internet, boys
*70,000 accounts were wiped from Twitter a few hours ago. Dunno but…70 thousand seems a lot to just wipe if it’s ppl only talking shit.
*If an idea is so bad then debate it. Provide the “correct” answer.
*Silencing others means you’re scared or you don’t have the intelligence to debate 😛
*Free speech is paramount. If you’re offended, you need to calm down and assess the situation maturely.
*I tried not to write about it. I failed. Bite me.
