Number One is the mysterious and unnerving superior administrating the Combat Dept in the outer rims at MDS. Twelve “Numbers” oversee their own secret cogs in progression towards an agreed global agenda. Numbers are akin to Generals, CEOs and kings/queens because they come from bloodlines belonging to men who set up the main desert installation in the 1940s.

Agent Darkrose and Agent Starr report to Number One who has a (very)slight soft spot for Red Tags.

Number One also has impish and perplexing compulsions to throw a spanner in the works and test an agent’s skill and loyalty whenever the urge takes hold.

Number One’s command of the English language and of tradition hints at a penchant for old-school ways. Number One does not allow weapons in their presence and does not tolerate disrespect, foul language or disobedience.

Number One is known to condemn perpetrators of these things to severe punishment.

Old fashioned turns of phrase and a shroud of an enigmatic aura means Number One’s presence is both frightening and wonderment rolled into a vision of platinum blonde, white and grey ethereal beauty that people are unable to pin a gender or origin to.
