Textbook Truth

Born to a wise woman who could predict the trajectory of the world, I  rolled with the original Truther crowd after 9/11 and the start of the “War on Terror.”  I was conscious enough to see the emergence of a new world wrapped in Orwell-esque legislation and technology, and the beginning journey of a snowball no one can stop.

Blog, socials – I don’t talk about secret societies/agendas much anymore because I don’t need to. There are plenty of others who have woken up and are pursuing their own truths (some in unhelpful ways, let’s not sugarcoat.) Being on the groundfloor taught me to read between the lines of the MSM (mainstream media,) politician soundbites and more. It gave me a degree in ability to research, and not the kind establishments-types like to throw around. When people say “Don’t confuse my degree with a Google search.” Well. Depending on the field, I tend to question the validity when I have the same access to peer-reviewed up-to-date articles, disclosed documents and whistleblowers on a specific topic…and I wasn’t instructed to focus only on the points someone else wanted me to, in turn finding a wealth of information not included in the curriculum of biased, grant-money-hungry Universities. xD

Does this stuff dictate the Darkrose Novels? No. I’m not here to convince a reader how to think. If you want to study something, pick up a non-fiction book. A lot of people read the Darkrose Novels cause they already know what they’re in for and want to pass the time reading something that occasionally references some topics that interest them. There are quotes, Google-able subjects which are sometimes mentioned by certain characters and drive the story, but I write fiction.  And if you follow the series, you know it branches out into more than just MDS/Deep State stuff.

There are themes I’ve come across IRL which also feature in the books, such as co-intelpro, agent provocateurs and a Deep State, but they exist alongside the story (as they do in our reality.) The themes in the books, which I’d like to believe are more prominent, are familiar to everyone, and occur in everyone’s world: revenge, forgiveness, friendship, personal growth, tenacity, unrequited/reciprocated love and more.  These things existing in the stressful, dangerous world of Cleo Darkrose is a testament to humans and their inbuilt nature and will to survive.

Don’t worry Cleo, she pisses me off too.

I heard someone talking about how JRR Tolkien (Lord of the Rings LOTR) said he wanted to put attributes of human nature that are true for everyone into a story despite the setting, race of character (dwarves/humans/elves/hobbits etc.) I’m not as cool as him but I think it’s a great idea to be conscious of. Character arcs are the most satisfying when he or she gets to the end of the adventure/series/book/movie and have been through some degree of change.

The begrudging friendship between Agent Cleo Darkrose and Julia Pierce was interesting to watch. The two met through necessity but were forced to recognise similar emotions in each other as they approached the same conclusions in their own ways. The forgiveness they both experience when they finally understand each other is hard-earned and is still shaky by the time we leave them. It’s a relationship that was annoying to write because, like Cleo, sometimes I just wished Julia would STFU and get with the program. She’s hysterical and too innocent, refusing to realise the stakes. But she shows that similar human emotions can exist in people who have come from very different pasts and her character helps to play against Cleo’s and force her into self-reflection as King of Spades plays out.

Red Cowboys explores psychology behind “revenge” and how long before it becomes overwhelmingly personal/selfish in order to fuel processing something emotionally difficult. How much pain can you be in before depravity is justified? I can’t wait until it’s released because that is only the beginning. With delves into mental illness and ramifications of having a damaged mind, as well as some mystery and loose ends tied up, I am a huge fan of Agent Trent Starr and Red Cowboys. I’m very excited to say we are in the final days before it is moved to the final stages before release.

TLDR:

I don’t need to put a lecture on my pages. Read whatever you want.

* I’m an OG Truther. You’d do well to at least look into a few “conspiracies.” A lot of them have turned out to be true lately

*Red Cowboys goes a little deep and I love Trent Starr’s energy.

*The Darkrose Novels are not a soap box. They’re a fictional story.

*Calm your tits. 😀
